A home studio is a chain of decisions: what to buy first, where to put it, how to treat the room around it, and how to learn the craft once it’s all plugged in. We build the furniture that holds it all together, so we spend a lot of time thinking about every link in that chain. The Studio Guides are our curated answers to the questions customers ask us most, starting with the YouTube channels that are actually worth your time. Each guide is hand-picked, grouped by what you’re trying to do, and kept up to date.
How We Choose
Every channel in these guides was checked by hand before it went in. We look for creators who are still posting, who explain why rather than just what, and who are honest about gear they don’t need to sell you. Manufacturer channels are included only where their educational content stands on its own. Where a channel appears in more than one guide, it’s because it earns its place in both. If you think we’ve missed someone, tell us in the comments on the relevant guide and we’ll take a look.
The Furniture Underneath It All
When the reading is done and the gear is chosen, it needs somewhere to live. Mixingtable handcrafts solid hardwood desk stands, 19″ racks, modular synth cabinets and podcast gear stands to order in our Czech workshop, built to put your equipment at the right height and angle and to look the part for years.
